Emphasis Project: Pop Art

1. Emphasis warm-up work in table groups, Discover the 5 ways to create Emphasis: Framing, Color, Isolation, Scale & Pointing.
2. Take a photo of yourself - filters should not distort or cover your face.
3. Choose a limited pallet no more than five colors or five values of a color. The Andy Warhol picture on the left is an example of Monochromatic values and the complementary color is used in the background .
4.Trace LIGHTLY onto the Bristol paper INCLUDING the simple shapes within your face showing the transitions with shapes-5 values.
5. Begin painting, by layering your paint to create opaque simple shapes. When finished or waiting to dry. Look for images that are important to you.
6. For our background, we will create a collage with images that are important to you. Choose one of the five focal point ideas and represent it using the media of collage. None of the background should be empty paper. When the work is finished, Mod Podge over all of the artwork.
7. Finally, take a photo,of your work and submit to: "My Work" on the google classroom.
