Remote learning Face to Face: Google meet times are every Tuesday and Thursday at the scheduled times below. The login changes every meeting time so will need to go to our Google classroom a couple of minutes before class start time and log in by pushing the "camera" logo in the banner to attend the meetings.

week 6 beginning remote learning, April 20th - 24th, 2020
20- Monday: Hello everyone!! Let's Re-connect.
21- Tuesday : Class time. follow the schedule about and I will meet you in Class!
We are going to play "bingo" but it has a little twist. It is called "Value/bingo." Each student will have their own VALUE board. YOU CAN view the assignment on google classroom. You can PREPARE by using your S.O.U.L. Food sheet and look over the terms, If you do not have it, you can find the terms button on the Line and Value Unit.
Also re-watch the video on the website.
22-Wednesday: Your Work time
16-Thursday: Class time. follow the schedule about and I will meet you in Class!
17-Friday: Looking forward , Next Unit is Color!
week 5 of school closure, April 13th - 17th, 2020
13 Monday: I hope everyone is staying safe, I will keep updating expectations this week from the district.
Continue to practice any value drawing. We usually meet on Tuesday but I will be with the district and plan to Start actual remote class hopefully by April 20th.
14-Tuesday & 15-Wednesday: I Finish any Value work, we will check in next week!
16-Thursday: Enjoy your day!
17-Friday: Check in at the end of the week and I will have an update.
week 4 of school closure, April 6th - 10th, 2020
6- Monday: This week is our spring Break. We will not meet for Zoom tomorrow.
School has been called off for the rest of the year, but please continue to visit as I will keep updating as any expectations come from the district. Continue to practice any value drawing. The next time we meet, I will introduce Color!!
7-Tuesday thru 9-Thursday: I Finish any Value work and you can check in on April 14th with me!
10-Friday: Good Friday, go for a walk and write a list of 10 things you are thankful for! Combsy

week 1 of school closure, March 16th - 20th, 2020
16- Monday: First Day of school closure, You can begin your Value project. Choose an image of a real object of something you would like to draw. Begin by lightly drawing the basic shape- contour of the object.
After your basic contour is drawn, add values. Remember do not outline.
17-Tuesday: Face to face is scheduled to take place March 24th.
Refer to homepage to watch the ZOOM app set up and sign up for Remind so you can send questions to me.
18-Wednesday: *Check value placement and self assess your understanding.
*Use a value scale by printing one off.
*Check your values with the values from your reference picture and make corrections if needed.
19-Thursday: Studio work day

Art 1: Elements of Design is an entry level art class created for students to explore and experiment with the basic elements of design and their practical applications. To develop an awareness and appreciation of art history as a historical record of cultural expression. To develop technical skills of personal expression. To build a vocabulary of concepts and language necessary for the study of art and to encourage the written expression of the creative process. Art I will also develop the ability to critique and reflect about art, either ones own or that produced by someone else, or the class.
